Biografy
Valérie Marchand, originally from Sète in the south of France, joined LFIA in 2004. After earning a degree in Mathematics in Montpellier and passing the primary school teacher certification exam from the Versailles Academy, she moved to Belgium to join her husband. Valérie teaches at LFIA as a primary school teacher in French and was also in charge of the FLE (French as a Foreign Language) program for two years. She has also participated in the DELF exam for the Alliance Française in Antwerp. Franco-Spanish, she is fluent in both the Spanish language and culture. Valérie enjoys knitting, reading historical crime novels, playing the cello and piano, power walking, learning Dutch, and has recently developed a passion for chess.
